This is my story........

My photo
Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #20 Cecil Lunsford

Happy Father's Day
Julie and her siblings had a quilt made for their mom for Mother's Day (#15) and this one made for their dad for Father's Day. Their Dad went in the hospital today and could use some extra loving so he may get his quilt early. I call this a story quilt. It is filled with history of his family growing up in the town of Andrews, NC (formerly Longtown, NC). Cecil has 13 siblings, 5 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Cecil's son, Eddie Lunsford, wrote the book G.W. about his grandfather's life growing up. On Amazon, http://www.amazon.com, it has a 5 star rating. I read this book and absolutely loved it!

My Dad loved his quilt. It gave him great comfort during his illness. We displayed the quilt at his funeral service, to share his story with everyone. Thank you Lynn for doing such a wonderful job, and thank you for caring. Julie
