This is my story........

My photo
Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #17 Arnie

Happy 70th Birthday Arnie!

Arnie's niece, Debbie saw one of the quilts and knew she wanted one for her uncle's special birthday. Debbie did a great job creating collages to capture his life. She captured his love of dogs from the time he was little, his love for all of his family, his joy dancing with his sister Sue when young and when they got a little older and most of all, the sweetheart of his life, Skylar, his precious granddaughter. As you can see from the back of the quilt, it looks like Arnie always enjoys life. Happy Birthday Arnie!
July 28th Note from Debbie: My uncle hung his quilt right in the entryway to his house. It is the showpiece right as you walk in his front door!

My Uncle loved the quilt and has decided to hang it in his home. It was the hit of the party and everyone there looked to make sure they were in one of the photos - my sister's wedding photo saved me as everyone was in it if nowhere else! My 87 year old aunt (my grandfather's sister) was very excited when she found her mother on there! This is definitely a new family heirloom!
