This is my story........

Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #11 Carolyn & Norm

In Memory of Julie When Allison's parents saw Allison's quilt (#10) they requested one of their own. They loved the way the quilt captured the life of their beautiful daughter. For their quilt we changed some of the pictures and the border color but kept the butterflies. Next week will be the anniversary of Julie's passing. Hopefully this quilt will help them through this difficult time.
July 29th Note from Carolyn: We absolutely love our Julie quilt. We have it up on the wall as a mural in our family room. It makes me sad sometimes but it's also very comforting to be constantly reminded of our Julie and how wonderful she was and how very much we miss her.
