This is my story........

My photo
Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #10 Allison

Happy Birthday Allison
Allison lost her sister Julie to cancer a year ago next month. My daughter is a friend of Allison and she wanted her to have something to help her through her first birthday without her sister. Allison and Julie shared a love of butterflies and the color purple.
Happy Birthday, Allison.

Mrs. Lester,
Words cannot express how thankful I am for this wonderful gift!!! This quilt truly is the best present I have ever received and something that I can treasure forever. This first year has been tough, but the love and support that your wonderful daughter has given me and continues to give makes things a bit easier...I can only guess where she was taught this!?!?

Thank you again and I hope you are ready to stitch some more...my parents haven't stopped talking about how absolutely amazing it is :) hugs* xoxo
