This is my story........

My photo
Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #1 Ruth Johnson

Ruth was such a delightful lady making many smile as she always had a stuffed animal in her lap and often they wore her glasses. She celebrated her 97th birthday and passed away 3 days later. She was a patient with Good Shepherd Home Health & Hospice.

Her daughter cherishes the last few years that her mother lived with her filled with love, fun and lots of memories. Her quilt is an example of her life, full of love, color, happiness and lots of laughs.

1/2012 Lois loves her quilt. She called to say it beautifully captures her mother's life. She can't wait to take it to Puerto Rico in the spring when she will be visiting her mother's family. Her mother was one of 9 children. Bless you Lois.

3/26/2012 A note from Lois after her trip. I wanted to let you know that your quilt of my mother was a WONDERFUL centerpiece for the party that was held in her honor in Puerto Rico!! All her relatives marveled at the beauty of it! It definitely was the highlight of the party!
