This is my story........

My photo
Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #6 Ralph Matheson

Barbara Moss loved and admired this man beyond words. She created all of the beautiful meaningful collages that describe his life. My favorite is the center. She said he loved his wife and all his family and all his friends AND his mule, Pearl. He said Pearl could do anything a tractor could do and more! He was and still is loved by his family and friends. The quilt has a collection of his family and friends names and what they thought of him. I loved making this quilt with Barbara, she came up with so many creative ideas showing his wife how much he meant to everyone. Ralph was a patient with Good Shepherd Home Health & Hospice.

Ralph love life. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And his family. He is my brother-in-law and friend. I can still hear him say, Barb I'll catch them if you will cook them. Talking about native trout from the creeks. My children were not fortunate enough to have a grandfather hear on this earth but in every way he was a grand dad to them. He helped to make them what they are today. We all have cried together, laughed together, prayed together and worried together. But now he is in heaven where he will never have pain again. If he has gotten up from the feet of Jesus he is now on the banks of Jordan fishing. He loved to be loved and to love others. And will be missed terribly. Love ya Ralph

Lynn, I appreciate this so much. I knew the first time I heard you speak at the Miracle Monday cancer meeting at Freewill Baptist Church, that you must be a wonderful person. You'll never know how much my family and me will enjoy this. I took it to my nursing home where I am on the auxillary and had to show it to everyone. They thought it was so nice and so wonderful for you to do this for me and other people. Thanks.
