This is my story........

My photo
Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #5 Hannah Layfield

Hanna is a sweet girl with a bubbly personality that makes everyone smile when they meet her. This quilt was made for her in memory of Jessi Patrick. Jessi and Hanna became friends while they were both patients at the Egleston Children's Hospital in Atlanta. At Jessi's funeral service at First Free Will Baptist Church of Hayesville, NC, Hannah remarkably sang her heart out. Hannah is starting another round of chemo today and can use all our thoughts and prayers.

Jessi's quilt is 2010 #14.

Note from Hannah's mom Tammy: We received the quilt this morning and were both blown away by it!!! Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into making something so special for Hannah. The nurses have been coming in and out all day looking at it and talking about how wonderful it is. We will treasure it forever. God certainly blessed us the day he brought Bud, Kathi and Jessi into our lives.....
