This is my story........

My photo
Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #32 Darrell Wilkey (1 of 3)

Darrell saw the quilt that was made for his wife when her father died (#24) and requested 3 quilts to honor his parents. This one was made for him and the next 2 were made for his sisters. He put a tremendous amount of thought and planning into the quilts. They include pictures of his grandparents, his parents from early days through their 65th wedding anniversary along with pictures of his siblings through the years. They had a special love in their family.
Tuesday, 12/22/09 Note from Darryl & Teresa: They loved loved loved their quilts!!! They said their kids will be wanting one. 12/28/09 ...these quilts you have made with so much love...they are just priceless....and will endure for many many years and hopefully for many generations to come. We can't thank you enough.
