This is my story........

My photo
Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #12 Margaret "Peggy" Didio

Happy Birthday Peggy Didio!!

This quilt was made for Peggy and her daughter, Peggy.  Peggy is a patient with Good Shepherd Home Health and Hospice in Murphy NC.  Her daughter said everytime she would buy her mother a gift it would always be in purple or lavender.  The pictures show her beautiful smile and her love of life.

August 5  Peggy's daughter called so appreciative today.  It is her mother's birthday and they all gathered with her and her quilt.  She loves the quilt.  The picture in the center is her daddy who passed when she was young so at this time the quilt is extremely comforting to her.
