This is my story........

Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #9 Pinkie Emerson

I loved making this quilt. When I spoke with Pinkie's daughter, Joan, she told me her mother would love anything in pink. This was made from my "pink stash". If you have received a quilt before with pink, you will probably find some of your fabric. The stories of Pinkie's family were extremely touching....true loving family. Pinkie is a patient with Good Shepherd Home Health & Hospice.

I was fortunate enough to deliver this quilt and meet Pinkie. She and her family were so appreciative. Pinkie is a very dear lady.
