This is my story........

My photo
Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #18 Jessy Reems

Jessy is one of my most favorite people in the world. I made her a quilt in 2008 (#17) when I read about her in the Clay County Progress paper. Since that time her prince swooped her off her feet and they married last year. Jessy has been battling liver cancer for 3.5 years. This quilt was made for her to wrap the loves of her life around her. This quilt was a joint effort. The greatest part was her 89 year young Aunt Edna hemming it at the end.

October 2010 Jessy & William loved her quilt. Jessy especially loved that her Mom and her Aunt Edna had a part in making it. Jessy made up a Facebook photo album describing her love of the quilt and all the pictures individually.

October 31, 2011 Jessy lost her battle with cancer today. As hard as she fought and as many doctors she amazed, it is hard to believe she is gone. Rest in peace sweet Jessy!
