This is my story........

Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #13 Brad Pinson

Brad Pinson was an amazing man. His wife Faith is a good friend of mine and I wanted to make a "special" quilt for her after Brad passed away earlier this year. Back in 1983, Brad travelled to the Phillipines with a missionary group. While he was there he purchased the shirt that is in the center of the quilt. The pictures on the shirt are ones of the village he preached in and of him baptising children. Brad called this shirt his "preaching shirt." His favorite saying was "God is good....all the time." The pictures around the shirt in the center are of the loves of his life - preaching, family and golf.

Thank you Faith for your donation to Good Shepherd Hospice and Home Health of Murphy, NC. It has been my honor to make quilts for their patients.
