This is my story........

My photo
Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #26 Jill York

This quilt was made for June to give her daughter Jill for Christmas. It has shirts from her elementary school safety patrol through her high school senior class. Tshirt quilts are fun to make. The quilt is being machine quilted right now by Back Porch Quilters. After the quilt was finished more tshirts surfaced. They were made into a pillow sham (#36).
June added a bible verse on the back of the quilt: This is the day the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
Wed., 12/30 Note from Jill: I LOVED IT!!! I cried it was so special!!! Thank you so much!!!! Words cannot explain how much it means to me.
