This is my story........

My photo
Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #10 Allison

Happy Birthday Allison
Allison lost her sister Julie to cancer a year ago next month. My daughter is a friend of Allison and she wanted her to have something to help her through her first birthday without her sister. Allison and Julie shared a love of butterflies and the color purple.
Happy Birthday, Allison.

#9 Ariel

Happy Birthday Ariel

Ariel's mother, Alex, asked for a quilt for her daughter's birthday. She wanted something special to show Ariel how much she has grown from a beautiful baby to an absolutely beautiful teenager. Her family is so proud of her. I appreciate the order for this quilt, it enables me to continue making quilts for those needing extra love to wrap around them during rough times.
Thank you Alex.
Monday, April 6th an email from Alex.......it was the most amazing thing I have seen when she opened it. Her eyes got filled with tears and she cried and hugged me, a hug like I have not got since she was a little girl. Thank you so much, she sleep wrap on her quilt and she loves it.

#8 Maureen

Love story.
Carl and Maureen married at the age of 18 and had a wonderful life together raising two beautiful daughters. Carl loved his Harley Davidson almost as much the girls in his family. Unfortunately at the age of 53 Carl's life was taken due to unexpected surgery complications. Hopefully snuggling up with all their memories, this quilt will help Maureen in some way.

#7 Jennifer

Happy Birthday Jennifer
Jennifer is the daughter-in-law of Linda who I made quilt #14 (2008) for. I am happy to report that Linda is doing well taking one day at a time. She worries about how to help others as they also grieve. She asked me to make this quilt for Jennifer's birthday. When Linda saw the quilt, she made the comment I so often hear, "you captured Adam's life".
