Wrapped in Love Quilts are memory quilts for all occasions with Hospice patients having priority. Wrapped in Love Quilts was created after I learned a friend of mine had terminal cancer. I knew how much she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. I didn't know what to say to her when I received the news of her cancer so I came up with a way for her to wrap the love of her family around her. I created a photo quilt of all her loved ones along with her grandchildren's handprints on the back. She called it her faithful companion. Sue Liston passed away on October 31, 2007. During the year 2008 I created many quilts for hospice patients and persons that needed a little extra love wrapped around them. As you view the quilts and read the stories about them, starting with Sue's(2008-#1), you will see what a rewarding journey I have been on. The quilts are a beautiful way to express love when words seem inadequate. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to be able to help others. #18 Matt Gaffney

Matt's Mother had this quilt made for him in memory of his father and in celebration of the wonderful life he is living. The quilt has pictures of his life from his baby pictures to his beautiful wedding on the beach.

Dot's comment after Matt & Carlie received their quilt: They loved it. Matt had never seen some of the pictures. Carlie never met Matt's Dad so she loved seeing all the family pictures. They both loved the colors.

#17 Someone Special

This quilt was made for someone very special that can use our prayers. This person has made me realize how fortunate I am for the life I have been granted.

#16 Morgan Smith



Morgan's mother, Donna has been saving some of her daughter's clothes since she was a baby. When her daughter left for college this summer she had this quilt made for her.


Donna is so proud of Morgan who is attending college on a full soccer scholarship. Morgan will be able to remember her sweet loving Mom everytime she wraps up in her quilt.


COMMENT FROM DONNA: "I can't even speak! It is the most mind blowing treasure." This will be a gift to Morgan's September birthday.
Donna's comment after Morgan received her quilt: Morgan went nuts when she saw it! She loved it and said she would sleep with it every night. I put money in almost all the pockets. That made it extra sweet. While I have been showing it off to people, the reaction is always the same no matter who saw it: eyes wide open and jaws dropped. Thank you so much for such a treasure. Don't retire anytime soon, I have a 16 year old who will also need one.

#15 Dorothy Morrow

Dorothy had six loving children that adored her. Although she is deeply missed, they know she is at peace after suffering with dementia. Many of the pictures on the quilt are family members with her on her 84th birthday. Dorothy was a patient with Good Shepherd Home Health and Hospice in NC.
